Staged! Portland’s Musical Theatre Series presented the Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden, one of the most beautiful scores ever heard on the Broadway stage.  Composed by Lucy Simon with lyrics and book by Marsha Norman, it is based on the beloved children’s novel written in 1911 by Frances Hodgson Burnett.   
 

The Secret Garden is about the healing power of love and the miracle of rebirth. Through the lyrical shimmer of Lucy Simon's music and Marsha Norman's book and lyrics, the musical creates a world where lost loves are found, lost lives are saved, and illness blossoms into health. 
 

Bob Hicks of TheOregonian called Staged! “a troupe worth keeping an eye on.”  This young theatre company continues to live up to their promise with this remounting of their sold out, critically acclaimed 2005 production of The Secret Garden. 
 

Starring Roxanne Stathos, Bruce Blanchard, Meredith Weber, and former Miss America Katie Harman, the show will feature an onstage orchestra with Drammy Award winning musical director Alan Lytle at the helm.  Sarah Jane Hardy directs the show. 

 

 

The 2007 Secret Soiree was a splendid, smashing success!  Guests enjoyed an exclusive cabaret, mingling with fellow VIPs, and a signature drink designed for the evening (the secretini )....Our 2007-08 season is officially launched!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pre-professional theatre students from 6 different high schools around the metro area came together for The 2007 Shakespeare Plunge.  They were a huge hit!



Musical theatre students had the opportunity to work with professional accompanist Janet Coleman and performed in front of an appreciative audience.
 

 

 

 

Staged! friends and supporters invaded Tony Starlight's Supper Club & Lounge on July 23, 2007 filling the swanky joint with song, laughter, and even some "spoken word" performance (!).
